Engineering Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our Engineering Manager based in Aberdeen. The position is a permanent staff position with a very attractive reward package being offered.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The primary role of the Engineering Manager will be to establish and grow the engineering business within Ecosse Subsea to support the ongoing requirements of ESS and to identify and secure additional business within primarily the Subsea oil and gas sectors. The role will typically encompass the following key tasks;

• Set up systems and processes within Ecosse Subsea relating to the Engineering Function (Note ESS have a target towards accreditation to ISO 9001:2000 by end of 4th QTR 2008).
• Support ESS’s ongoing business with respect to geotechnical resource and in particular support the promotion of SCAR.
• Identify and secure new business for ESS within the oil and gas market sector. Consideration to be given to the renewable energy market and Subsea mining.
• Identify other internal personnel requirements in support of the Engineering function within the business.
• Participate in Ecosse Subsea’s business as a whole and undertake other tasks as may be required.

Candidates should ideally possess a minimum of ten years experience in the oil and gas industry and be qualified to degree standard.  Experience in a similar position preferred.
